Individual Therapy
55 Minute Sessions
Individual therapy is designed to help with topics such as stress and anxiety, sadness and depression, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, identity, and self-worth. Some people come to therapy with a specific idea of what they’d like to accomplish through therapy, and some do not — they just feel like something’s off or they aren’t quite where they want to be. Wherever you are at, that’s ok. Expect that we will work together to identify what you want, and we will collaborate on how to get there.
Couples & Relationship Counseling
55 Minute or 85 Minute Sessions
Relationship counseling supports couples, throuples, or polycules to identify, understand, and ultimately replace unhelpful or unhealthy patterns of behavior. These sessions help people to identify what emotions are triggered by which behaviors, allow for open and honest expressions of these underlying emotions, and build upon healthy moments of connection and love. Relationship counseling can help people who are: working through betrayal, fighting or bickering frequently, navigating difficult life decisions, experiencing issues with sexual intimacy, struggling with parenting, or contemplating the end of their relationship.
Trauma Therapy
55 Minute or 85 Minute Sessions
Trauma therapy is a more directive form of individual therapy, in which the primary goal is to understand and heal from experiences of trauma. Trauma changes the way we perceive ourselves and our worlds, and by revisiting these experiences in a safe and thoughtful environment, we are able to make meaning of the sense-less.
We begin by increasing stability, then exploring and developing resources that help you to feel calmer, safer, and more grounded, and then we revisit and reprocess traumatic experiences that are keeping you stuck. This is done primarily through the lens of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) or “parts work.”
Professional Consultation
55 Minute Sessions or As Needed
Being a therapist can be an isolating experience. We all need support as we help our clients through exceptionally difficult experiences and emotions. These sessions are meant for fully licensed professionals in the field who are seeking professional support and development. Consultation sessions may be a quick “one-off” phone call to work through a particularly challenging client experience, or ongoing supervision to help identify barriers to client' progress, understand transference and countertransference that are influencing sessions, brainstorm different modalities or interventions to try, and to receive emotional support from someone who gets it.
